Team rules
All hats must be checked prior to a competition, this can be done by Alex or an official steward.
Passports must be taken to all events.
A copy of the horse’s passport including vaccination record must be sent to Wendy/Ros/Alex when you register your interest for competing and you must inform one of the team managers when your horse has a booster injection to ensure your record is up to date.
Correct dress must be worn whilst mounted at all times, this includes any training you attend.
A rider’s hair must be above the collar both for competitions and training.
Team training will be running throughout the year covering all disciplines. Payment must be received to secure a place and will only be refunded if a reserve is found.
Payment for team competitions must be received in full 4 weeks before the date of the competition, failure to do so will result in you not having a place on a team.
If there is a change in circumstances and you are no longer able to compete then you must inform one of the team managers. If a replacement is found then your money will be refunded.
If you have dropped out of a team then your place will be allocated to someone else where possible. If however your circumstances change and you would like to compete again then it might be possible for you to go on to the reserve list depending on numbers.
It will be the responsibility of the Team Manager to organise a replacement rider.
You are responsible for arranging transport to and from all training and competitions. This includes all cost occurred.
If your team qualifies for the championship then you must be prepared to travel to the required location (this can be as far as Lincoln in the summer so you need to be aware of this before entering)
If at any point in the 4 weeks before a competition your horse receives vetinary treatment and is prescribed medication you must inform one of the team managers as this could result in you being unable to compete.
You will be required to attend at least one of the training sessions organised in order to compete for the club.
Please ensure you complete your helper’s hours throughout the club year.
You must be prepared to ride at a different level if required by the team.
The team manager’s decision is final and if you have any problems then you will need to speak to Shelagh to try to resolve the issue instead of social media.
A copy of the BRC rules and the relevant dressage test’s etc will be sent to you on completion of forms.
